Holland Street Dental Covid-19 Safety Measures

COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) pandemic has significantly changed many aspects of daily activities in our lives, increasing efforts for health and safety of ourselves, families and our dear ones.

Patients health and safety is a top priority at Holland Street Dental and every person in our clinic stays united with the local community in prevention the spread of the COVID-19.

We have implemented enhanced infection control protocols, that comply with federal and local laws and guidelines set forth by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Such measures help us to safely provide in-person care to our clients and we hope to see you soon!

List of safety measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus:
Patient Screening

Our staff will call you to perform a pre-appointment screening, for the purpose of determining if you have any COVID-19 symptoms or possible exposure risks before arriving at our office. You will be asked to fill out a patient screening consent form and have your temperature taken by the touchless infrared thermometer when you arrive.

Patient Protection

As per Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario guidelines, clients are not required to wear masks, unless they have suspected or confirmed COVID-19 positive. We have hand sanitizer throughout the office and have patients perform hand hygiene before entering and leaving the dental operatory. We ask you to limit the number of visitors who accompany you to your appointment to one support person.

Interactions limits

We have installed plexiglass barriers at our reception desk and isolate our operatories to minimize clients interaction during the visit, Visual warning and information signs were attached at the office entrance and public areas to provide safety instructions to our clients.

Physical Distancing

Social distancing signs were placed on the ground to increase the safety of our clients and staff. The encourage our visitors to maintain a safe distance in the lobby, waiting their check-ups and treatments. Should our waiting room have too many people, we will ask that some of our patients wait outside to promote the safety of everyone inside.

Office cleaning

Our staff members will wipe down contact surfaces throughout the day with an approved surface cleaner. Operatories are cleaned every day and our air exchangers provide constant air flow to minimize the spread of viruses.

Staff Safety

Our staff has protocols to self-monitor for any symptoms of COVID-19 and complies with RCDSO PPE standards. All dental staff wears N95 or surgical grade masks, head covers, face shields and isolation gowns for all procedures.

Feel free to ask our staff about our safety protocols, if you feel unsure about additional COVID-19 prevention and detection measures we introduced in our office.
